What is Chinese Medicine?
With a history of more than 2,000 years, Chinese medicine is recognised as an effective way of restoring the body’s natural state of balance.
Using acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine and other techniques, we aim to work with you to isolate and treat the cause of your complaint, to support and correct the cause, and to promote your innate healing ability, enabling you to get back to functioning as efficiently as possible.
There is an increasing body of evidence to support the effectiveness of acupuncture and the positive effect it has on a range of conditions. A 2017 Acupuncture Evidence Project undertaken by Australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association Ltd (AACMA) found acupuncture had a positive effect on:
– Promoting blood flow
– Stimulating the body’s built in healing mechanisms
– Reducing the intensity and perception of pain
– Reducing inflammation
– Reducing stress and anxiety
– Promoting sleep
– Managing perimenopausal and menopausal symptoms.
