Introducing laser acupuncture
We’re excited to announce the arrival of laser acupuncture as part of our Chinese medicine treatment options.
Laser acupuncture uses low-energy laser beams instead of traditional acupuncture needles to influence acupuncture points.
Studies show that low-level lasers can help regenerate cells and treat scar tissue, decrease pain, reduce inflammation, improve circulation, and even stimulate hair growth.
Advantages to Using Lasers
- It’s completely painless and is therefore perfect for treating children and needle-phobic patients (although our super-fine filament needles really don’t hurt!).
- It’s fast. Once the condition has been diagnosed, acupuncture points are selected and then the points are activated for 15-60 seconds, depending upon the individual patient (age and size), and the body part being targeted. Legs and torsos may need longer, while ears, hands and feet require less treatment time. This compares to 20-40 minutes’ retention time with regular acupuncture needles.
- Laser acupuncture allows practitioners to treat points that otherwise they might not be able to treat, due to patient age, sensitivity, or fear.
If you or your loved ones could benefit from a Chinese medicine treatment but have always been put off by the thought of acupuncture needles, why not try laser acupuncture?
